Wong Loo Sen See Chee Choong Temple in Kuala Lumpur celebrates golden jubilee


The Wong Loo Sen See Chee Choong Temple in Kuala Lumpur celebrated its Golden Jubilee (50th) anniversary with a grand dinner and entertainment on Sunday, 26th December 2010 at Banquet Hall, Thean Hou Temple Kuala Lumpur. Over 600 people attended the event.

It was an excellent and most enjoyable nine-course Chinese dinner, prepared and served by the Restoran Guan Seng Loong of Sekinchan, Selangor.

As the guests dined, they were entertained by a variety of show such as kung-fu demonstration, Ivy Line Dancers and karaoke singers.

A special edition magazine commemorating the 50th anniversary was given out to all the guests who also received a pewter key chain imprinted with the 50th anniversary logo.

Among the VIPs in attendance were temple honourable advisers Tan Sri Dato’ Michael Chen Wing Sum, Datuk Seri Tan Chai Ho and YB Tan Kok Wai who is also the Cheras MP.

Comic Fiesta 2010: Anime characters come alive


Anime and manga characters come alive at the two-day annual Comic Fiesta 2010 from Dec 18 - 19 at the Manhattan Ballroom, Berjaya Times Square Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

Comic Fiesta 2010 featured cosplay competition, stage performances, animation screening, fashion runway, autograph session and array of booths showcasing anime paraphernalia and selling anime merchandise.

Anime fans came together to showcase their creativity in replicating their favourite characters from anime, manga, video games and movies.

Wacoal 62 Years Come Fly With Me cocktail party


In celebration of Wacoal’s 62 years of lingerie-making tradition, Wacoal Malaysia hosted a sophisticated cocktail party on Friday 10th December 2010 at Favola Italian restaurant in Le Meridien Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

The exclusive “Wacoal 62 – Come Fly With Me” event strictly by invitaion only was attended by about 100 illustrious guests who included beauty queens, celebrities, corporate figures, business partners and media personnel.

The event was themed Masquerade Night and guests received complimentary masks which were a hit with the guests as the beautiful masks added an air of mystery and excitement at this fantastic night of glitz and glamour.

Guests came dressed in their finest outfits enjoying an exciting evening of good wine, great Italian food, excellent entertainment and a fashion show showcasing Wacoal latest lingerie collections.

Personalities in attendance at the celebrations included three former Miss Malaysia Universe beauty queens Adeline Chin (2007), Melissa Ann Tan (2006) and Angela Gan (2005); and Mrs Malaysia World 2007 Beatrice Nirmala.

The cocktail party was just one of many opportunities Wacoal provides throughout the year to express appreciation to its business partners who share in their commitment to beautify women.

The highlight of the fashion show was the fun and chic “Jia cami” – a range of breakthrough home comfort wear for the ladies in Malaysia’s hot and humid weather. What could be better?

The night came to a close with the lucky draws for five lucky guests who received great Wacoal lingerie pack.

The food and refreshments were great and the entertainment was terrific. It was great to spend time with the illustrious guests and the Wacoal team.
