McCurry seeks strategic partner for world wide expansion

There was a good turnout at the Deepavali open house hosted by McCurry Restaurant (KL) Sdn Bhd at its outlet at 1st mile, Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur on Friday 30th October 2009. It was a joyous affair with guests helping themselves to a sumptuous spread of mouth-watering delicacies like chicken 65, tandoori chicken, lamp chops, spicy mutton, naan bread and various other buffet dishes.

Later, at a press conference attended by the main stream media, the restaurant’s owner and managing director A.M.S.P. Suppiah announced that McCurry was in serious talk with potential investors with the expertise, experience and the right team to assist in McCurry's expansion locally and internationally.

“We’ve had over 50 enquiries from 21 countries seeking possible collaboration. Serious investors have called from Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Italy and East Malaysia. Even locally, there is undoubtedly much room for growth for a “halal certified restaurant” of international standing, explained Suppiah.

“At McCurry, we aspire to be a truly Malaysian home-grown brand, which makes its mark internationally. There are huge tasks and opportunities ahead, and I am definitely on the look-out for a Strategic Partner who would be able to take McCurry Restaurants from strength to strength and to the next level” elaborated Suppiah.
